For Priyanka these days the whole world is her daughter Malti Marie Chopra. Priyanka was very upset during and after her daughter’s premature birth. The actress revealed her fear as a mother.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas became parents of a daughter through surrogacy in the year 2022. In a recent interview, Priyanka Chopra has told that she was afraid of losing her daughter at the time of premature birth. Malti was in NICU for about 100 days after birth. At this time the actress was very scared, then husband Nick Jonas held her firmly.

Priyanka Chopra is often trolled on social media for some reason or the other. Priyanka Chopra married singer Nick Jonas in the year 2018. Even at that time, this actress was abused a lot. Nick Jonas is 10 years younger than Priyanka.

I wanted to be my daughter’s strength
Priyanka Chopra recalled the time of her daughter’s birth on the Today show and said, ‘This is another example of my husband’s strength. I was like silent, I was not able to understand how to react. I remember Nick holding my shoulders, I asked him what do I have to do? He said just sit with me in the car and we left for the hospital. She was born, from the time she took her first breath till today, she has never lived without one of us. This was her test, not mine. I did not have a chance to be afraid or weak, because as a mother I had to be her strength, we had to make her feel every moment that she is not alone.’

Malti kept checking Mary’s heartbeat
Priyanka Chopra further said that ‘When we brought him home, I could not sleep for many days. In the hospital, we could see his heartbeat on the monitor but there was no monitor at home. I used to listen to him by putting my ear on his chest. I used to wake up every 2 minutes to see if he was okay or not and this continued for weeks’.
