An all-party meeting was held on Sunday before the budget session. Representatives of almost all parties including Congress, TMC, SP participated in it. But in the meantime, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh did something for which BJP surrounded him. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju even called it unfortunate.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was chairing the all-party meeting. Then senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh posted a post on the social media site X. He wrote, “JDU leader demanded special category status for Bihar in the all-party meeting chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. YSRCP leader demanded special category status for Andhra Pradesh. Surprisingly, TDP leaders remained silent on this issue.” In a separate post, he also told what Congress wants to discuss during the upcoming Parliament session.
In today’s all-party meeting of floor leaders chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, the JD(U) leader demanded special category status of Bihar. The YSRCP leader demanded special category status for Andhra Pradesh. Strangely, the TDP leader kept quiet on the matter.
