Jamui. Bihar’s daughter and Jamui’s BJP MLA Golden Girl Shreyasi Singh is also participating in the Olympic Games starting in Paris. Arjun Award-winning Commonwealth Games gold medalist Shreyasi Singh will shoot for the country in the Paris Olympics. Jamui MLA Shreyasi Singh has been selected for the shotgun trap event of shooting which is to be held on 30 and 31 July. Shreyasi Singh is the first player from Bihar to make it to the Olympic Games. It is also being said that Shreyasi is also the first public representative who has joined the Indian team for the Olympics.
Shreyasi Singh, who made it to the Olympics to be held from 26 July to 11 August, contested the 2020 assembly elections from Jamui on a BJP ticket and became an MLA. Shreyasi Singh, a resident of Gidhaur in Jamui district, is the daughter of former Union Minister Digvijay Singh and former Banka MP Putul Kumari.
Even after entering politics, her sports career is continuously progressing, this daughter of Bihar has made her mark in shooting as well as politics. Shreyasi Singh, playing for India, won the gold medal in shooting in the Commonwealth Games held in Gold Coast in 2018, before this, Shreyasi Singh also won the silver medal in double trap in the Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow in 2014.
In the year 2014 itself, Shreyasi won the bronze medal in the double trap team of the shooting championship in the Asian Games, apart from this she won the silver medal in the 2010 Commonwealth Games. After winning the gold medal in the Commonwealth Games in 2018, Shreyasi Singh was awarded the Arjuna Award this year.
