Rishi Sunaka: Rishi Sunak has won his election, but he failed to make his party win. Britain’s current Prime Minister Sunak has retained his victory from the Northern England seat. The Conservatives have so far won 119 seats in the UK elections. Sunak is Britain’s first Asian Prime Minister. He was also a cabinet minister in the Boris Johnson government.

Preet Kaur Gill: Labour Party candidate Preet Kaur Gill has also won the election. Preet Kaur Gill has won the election from Birmingham Edgbaston seat. However, Preet Kaur Gill is known for her anti-India statements. She had supported the farmers’ movement. She alleged in the House of Commons that agents belonging to India are targeting Sikhs in Britain.

Priti Patel: Priti Patel has defeated the Labour Party candidate on the Conservative Party ticket. This politician of Gujarati origin has served as Home Secretary from 2019 to 2022. Priti Patel of the Conservative Party has been an MP since 2010.

Gagan Mohindra: Gagan Mohinder belongs to a Punjabi Hindu family. He is a member of the Conservative Party. He won the election from South West Herts in the UK General Election. Gagan got 16,458 votes. His parents were from Punjab. They moved to the UK even before Gagan Mohinder was born.

Kanishka Narayan: Labour Party member Kanishka Narayan has won the UK general election. Kanishka Narayan was born in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. He went to the UK for studies at the age of 12. He studied at Oxford and then Stanford. He has been a civil servant. He has also worked in the private sector.

Shivani Raja: Conservative Party leader Shivani Raja has won from Leicester East. She defeated Rajesh Aggarwal of the Labour Party and former MPs Claude Webbe and Keith Vaz who contested as independents.

Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi: Sikh leader Tanmanjit Singh Dhesi has been re-elected as MP from Slough. Tanmanjit Singh Dhesi is the first turbaned Sikh MP in the British Parliament.

Navendu Mishra: Labour Party member Navendu Mishra has won the Stockport seat. He had also won this seat in the 2019 elections. His mother hails from Gorakhpur, while his father is from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. Navendu Mishra has been re-elected MP with 21,787 votes. Labour Party MPs have won this seat in every election since 1992.

Lisa Nandy: Labour Party member Lisa Nandy retained the Wigan seat she has held since 2014 with 19,401 votes. She is the daughter of Kolkata-born Dipak Nandy, a renowned academic known for his work in race relations in Britain. She has represented Wigan since 2010.

Suella Braverman: Suella Braverman of Indian origin has won from the Fareham and Waterlooville seats. During the last cabinet reshuffle of the Sunak-led government, Braverman had stirred up controversy by saying that the Metropolitan Police was being soft on pro-Palestine protesters. However, she was replaced by James Cleverly as the Home Minister. She was the MP for Fareham from 2015 to 2024.
