With the permission of Acharya Swamiji Maharaj, the Granth Shiromani “Shikshapatri” group recital, group Mahapuja, Pujan – Archan, Nirajan was celebrated with devotion and joy in the presence of saints in Kampala – Uganda under the “Shikshapatri Bicentenary Festival”.
On this occasion, Sant Shiromani Gurupriyadasji Swami explained the greatness of Shikshapatri and said that Shikshapatri was created by Upasya Ishtadev Shri Swaminarayan Bhagwan Himself. On Samvat 2082 Maha Sud Pancham, 200 years will be completed i.e. as part of the “Shikshapatri Bishatabdi Mohotsav” Swaminarayanabapa Swamibaba was enshrined by decorating a lovely carousel with 212 verses of Shikshapatri written on it. Also Shikshapatri group lessons, group Mahapuja were organized with devotion.
Shikshapatri means a letter-article preaching interest. Shri Swaminarayan Bhagwan wrote Shikshapatri 198 years ago. In which the essence of more than 350 scriptures has been. Shikshapatri is the milky essence of all scriptures. Sri Swaminarayan Bhagwan has included ‘Sagar in Gagar’ in the form of Shikshapatri. Shikshapatri means the herb of living. Following the precepts of Shikshapatri leads to great happiness in this world and hereafter. Based on this scripture, Lord Swaminarayan’s main goal is to make human beings virtuous. Shikshapatri Srijimaharaj has written for his followers. But it is very useful and beneficial for everyone in the society.
On this auspicious occasion, Saints Shiromani Sahajanand Swami, Harikeshavdasji Swami and Gurupriyadasji Swami and young and old Haribhaktas and devotees read Shikshapatri containing 212 verses in mass, worship and abhishek of Harikrishna Maharaj with Panchamrit and Aarti. Everyone took advantage of this opportunity with a devoutly distanced cheer.
