New Delhi. US Congress leader Donald Lu had given a strange reaction to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Russia. India has now silenced him by responding. The Foreign Ministry said, we should understand that India has a long-term relationship with Russia which is based on mutual benefit. India has had a long relationship with Russia. All countries have the right to choose their own path.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, in a multipolar world, all countries have their own independence. Everyone should be aware of this reality. It should also be appreciated. India’s relationship with Russia is based on the interests of both countries. People are aware of this. They should also appreciate it. Donald Lu, Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, has said such things many times, which India did not like.

Travel advisory is their routine work
The Foreign Ministry also responded to the US travel advisory which said that Americans should not visit Manipur, Jammu and Kashmir and Naxal-affected areas. The spokesperson of the Indian Foreign Ministry said, we consider this a routine matter. We also keep issuing such advisories.

So many people came back from Bangladesh
The Ministry of External Affairs also gave an update on Bangladesh. It said, so far more than 6,700 Indian students have returned from Bangladesh. We have received a lot of cooperation from the Bangladesh government. Our High Commission has helped people a lot. We have tried to get them out safely. Our helplines are working round the clock. We also feel that being a close neighbor, with whom we have very cordial and friendly relations, we hope that the situation will become normal.
