New Delhi. The company takes bookings from customers to sell its new cars, on the basis of which it is decided how much production is to be done. However, there are times when the company has to stop booking due to high demand. This happens because the company can make only a limited number of cars at a given time. If the company takes more bookings, the waiting period of the cars will also increase and due to this the customers will start going towards other companies.
At present, something similar is happening with Toyota. Toyota has recently stopped booking some variants of its 8-seater SUV Innova Hycross. These are the top range variants of Innova Hycross – ZX and ZX (O). Their bookings had been open for just a month but the company decided to stop booking again. There is a strong demand for these variants of Toyota Hycross but the company is not able to supply accordingly. In April 2023 also, Toyota had stopped taking bookings for ZX and ZX (O) due to supply problems. Now once again the company has done this.
Toyota Innova Highcross comes with two engine options.
Supply is less as per demand
The company is getting a strong demand for Innova Hycross from customers, but the company can supply the car only up to a limit. Due to this, the company has to stop bookings again and again. Due to bumper bookings of ZX and ZX (O), the waiting period of both variants has increased, to control which the company had to stop bookings.
Innova Hycross ZX Price
The Innova Highcross ZX variant is priced at Rs 30.34 lakh (ex-showroom), while the ZX (O) variant is priced at Rs 30.98 lakh (ex-showroom). As of May 2024, the hybrid model is available in VX and VX (O) variants, with waiting periods reaching up to 14 months.
Innova Hycross Engine and Variants
Toyota Innova Highcross comes with two engine options, which include a 2.0 liter strong hybrid engine and a 2.0 liter four cylinder petrol engine. The hybrid engine has an e-CVT gearbox, while the petrol engine has a CVT gearbox. This car comes in 7 variants – G, GX, GX (O), VX, VX (O), ZX, and ZX (O). The company has recently launched its non-hybrid GX (O) model, which is priced at Rs 20.99 lakh.
