We have brought soil from the moon, but what now? The dragon is calling scientists from all over the world, what is this problem between China and US?

Bangkok. China’s Chang E-6 has returned after completing its moon mission. China has invited scientists from around the world to study the samples brought back to Earth on Thursday. China’s space officials said that they welcome scientists from around the world for the study, but there are some limitations in this process of exploration, especially with the US.

After the successful moon mission, Chinese officials held a televised conference in Beijing to count the achievements. In the conference, they said that any kind of cooperation with the US would depend on the removal of the US law banning direct bilateral cooperation with NASA. Bian Zhigang, deputy chairman of China’s National Space Administration, said, “The root of the obstacle to US-China space cooperation remains in the Wolf Amendment.”

Zhiggang said, ‘If the US really wants to start regular space cooperation, then I think they should take appropriate steps to remove this obstacle.’ The Wolf Amendment came into effect in 2011. This amendment approves only those bilateral cooperations between the US and China in which the FBI can certify that there is no threat to national security by sharing information with the Chinese side during the work.

China can seek cooperation from scientists of other countries in studying the samples brought from the moon, but there is a problem with America. The European Space Agency, France, Italy and Pakistan have worked together with China in the Chang E-6 mission. Liu Yunfeng, director of the International Cooperation Office of the China National Space Administration, said, ‘China welcomes scientists from all countries in exploration and will share information with them.’
