The clock icon on WhatsApp usually appears next to messages that have not yet been delivered to the receiver. It indicates that the message is currently in transit and is awaiting delivery confirmation.
There may be several reasons why the clock is created and the delivery is delayed, such as poor internet connectivity, receiver device offline status, or any server-related issues on WhatsApp’s part.
Poor Internet Connectivity: If your device has a poor or weak Internet connection, messages may be delayed in being sent instantly, which causes a clock icon to appear next to the message.
Server problem: There may also be a delay in message delivery due to a temporary server issue from WhatsApp, which causes the clock icon to appear.
Receiver Offline: If the receiver’s device is turned off or not connected to the internet, WhatsApp can’t deliver the message until the device comes back online.
