India is going to show its strength just 1000 kilometers away from the Chinese border.

In fact, the Indian Army contingent left for the multinational military exercise ‘Khan Quest’ on Thursday. This war exercise is going to be held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from 27 July to 9 August 2024. In this war exercise, armies from all over the world are coming together to cooperate and enhance their peacekeeping capabilities.

America has also participated in the war exercise
Earlier, Exercise ‘Khan Quest’ was conducted in Mongolia from June 19 to July 2, 2023. The exercise first began in 2003 as a bilateral event between the United States and Mongolian Armed Forces. Since 2006, it has evolved into a multinational peace exercise, and its 21st edition was held this year.

What is the purpose of the war exercise ‘Khan Quest’
The aim of the war exercise ‘Khan Quest’ is to prepare the Indian Armed Forces for peace missions while operating in a multinational environment, thereby enhancing interoperability and military readiness in peace support operations under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter. The exercise will focus on high level physical fitness, joint planning and joint tactical exercises.

The tactical exercises to be conducted during the war exercise will include establishment of static and mobile check posts, cordon and search operations, patrolling, evacuation of civilians from hostile areas, practice of countering explosive devices, first aid in combat and evacuation of casualties, etc.

Exercise ‘Khan Quest’ will enable the participating countries to share their best practices in tactics, techniques and procedures for conducting joint operations. The exercise will improve interoperability and coordination between the troops of the participating countries.
