You can also become the owner of a CNG station! Government will give 10 thousand new licenses, know how to apply

New Delhi. Due to increasing pollution and high oil prices, the number of vehicles running on CNG gas is continuously increasing in the country. While on one hand the government’s focus on clean energy has increased, on the other hand auto companies are also shifting towards vehicles running on clean fuel. In such a situation, starting your own CNG pump can prove to be a very profitable deal. If you also want to open a CNG pump, then you have a golden opportunity. The government is going to give about 10 thousand new licenses for CNG pumps across the country in the next few years. Let us tell you its complete process…

There are two ways of earning
To set up a CNG pump, companies first demand land. Companies take land on lease. In such a situation, you will get the first chance to earn by leasing the land. The second way is that you can also take dealership on the land yourself. For this, companies do partnership, which they call Landlink CNG Station Policy. All companies issue tenders for the station as per their requirement, in which other requirements including location are given. Based on this, you can apply. Information for tenders can be obtained on the website of these companies.

These people will get exemption
Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has recently said that small start-ups can also get relaxation under the relaxation policy by tying up with big oil and marketing companies. Also, if any foreign company wants to invest, they can do so.

If you don’t have your own land
If the land is not your own, then you will have to get a NOC i.e. No Objection Certificate from the land owner. You can also apply for a CNG pump using the land of any member of your family. For this also you will have to get an NOC and affidavit made.

Area and cost
The cost of opening a CNG pump depends on the area and different companies. It depends on whether you want to open the pump in the city, on the highway or anywhere else. Currently, if you have your own land, it can cost up to Rs 50 lakh. For light vehicles, there should be 700 square meters of land, of which 25 meters should be in the front. Similarly, if you want to open a CNG pump for heavy commercial vehicles, then you should have a plot of 1500-1600 square meters, of which 50-60 meters should be in the front.
