In retro news, I’m celebrating the 32nd birthday of the Super Scope, a beloved SNES peripheral. A mate of mine who lived over the road bought one of these beauties, possibly because he was taken by the bazooka design—a major firearm escalation over his NES pistol. I mooched many a happy hour on his imported copy of Battle Clash, but at the cost of 6 AA batteries (!!!) every four hours of play, because ‘90s wireless technology was neat but also ruuubbish.

A remarkable sequel that somehow raises the bar even higher into the clouds. Tears of the Kingdom is an unfathomable follow-up to one of the greatest games ever made, somehow improving upon it in nearly every way. 10/10.
