MGCUB will get a badminton champion, Rajguru and Khudiram's team will compete - Mgcub badminton champion there ghosha and maitriyi

On the third day of National Sports Day week, a university level badminton competition was organized at Mahatma Gandhi Central University. 32 teams of the university participated in it. There were 24 male and 8 female teams. The female teams are named after Rani Chennamma, Ghosha, Maitreyi and Lokmudra. The final match of the competition will be played today on Saturday between Ghosha and Maitreyi. This competition was organized at Red Cross Society Motihari Club.

On this occasion, the university’s sports officer Dr. Raman said that a total of 32 teams of the university participated in the doubles category of the badminton competition, while on the other hand, a total of 12 student teams have reached the second round. Their names are named after Deendayal, Rajguru, Khudiram Bose, Nirala, Phanishwar Nath Renu, Vishwamitra, Bhartrihari, Kaushik, Mandan Mishra, Mandav, Bharat and Vats respectively. The final round match will be played between all the teams on Saturday. After this, the winner and runner-up teams will be announced. He said that all the winners will be awarded during the closing ceremony on National Sports Day on August 29.

Basic facilities being provided to players

Earlier, the competition was jointly inaugurated by Mahatma Buddha Campus Director Prof. Ashish Srivastava, Student Welfare Prof. A. Pal, University Sports Officer Dr. Saket Raman, Jury members Dr. Avnish Kumar and Dr. Uttam Kumar. Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjay Srivastava said that sports activities are being continuously organized in the university for the all-round development of students. The university administration is ready to provide all basic facilities to the players. The stage was conducted by Ananya Srivastava. The badminton competition was organized by Rakesh Roshan, Avniy Kumar, Prachi Srivastava and Abhishek Kumar. Co-ordinator of the event Naveen Tiwari and others were present on the occasion.
