In 2020, there was a bloody clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in Galwan in eastern Ladakh. Many Indian soldiers were martyred in this. China is continuously increasing its activity on the Line of Actual Control (LAC), due to which this conflict took place. It has been 4 years since this incident and in these 4 years, military and diplomatic level talks have taken place between the two countries many times. But every time it is said that the talks were held in a peaceful atmosphere and both the countries agreed on mutual cooperation. Talks are going on between the two countries on the East Ladakh border dispute with China, but no concrete solution has been found yet. On Wednesday also, both the countries once again discussed this issue. The Ministry of External Affairs said that India and China held diplomatic talks on the East Ladakh border dispute. The discussion was intense, constructive and visionary.
Regarding diplomatic talks on the border dispute, the Ministry of External Affairs said that peace, stability and respect for the Line of Actual Control (LAC) are essential to restore normalcy in bilateral relations. And both sides agreed on the need to maintain peace and brotherhood at the ground level in the border areas. Both sides agreed to maintain dialogue through established diplomatic, military channels.
Let us tell you that there are continuous talks between the two countries at the military level. This conversation is taking place at the military and diplomatic level. Military level talks were held on 19 February this year and this was the 21st meeting between the two countries. Talks were held at the Chushul-Moldo border meeting point. In this dialogue, it was agreed to maintain peace and stability in the border areas along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh. Earlier, the 20th round of military talks was held on 9-10 October 2023. The Ministry of External Affairs had told that the two countries exchanged views in a clear, open and constructive manner for early resolution of the remaining issues along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
