Road network will be strengthened in Bihar villages, CM Nitish Kumar's big plan, target to complete it before elections

Patna. The condition of roads in Bihar’s villages is now going to change. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s government has taken a big decision to improve the roads of the state. The state government has launched the ‘Bihar Rural Road Network’ project. Through this initiative, 10,000 kilometers of roads will be constructed or upgraded in the rural areas of Bihar. The Nitish government has set a target to complete this work before the assembly elections to be held in the state in 2025.

Ashok Choudhary, Minister of Rural Development Department in the Bihar Government, said that this decision reflects the commitment of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to further improve the rural infrastructure in the state.

What is the planning of Bihar government

10,000 km of roads will be upgraded in rural areas of Bihar. Along with this, 5000 km of new roads will be built. Through this project, the aim of the Bihar government is to improve the quality of life in the rural areas of the state. Minister Ashok Chaudhary said, “The emphasis of the state government has been on improving the quality of life in rural areas to ensure more inclusive development.”

Regarding the recent collapse of bridges across the state, Choudhary said some of these bridges were either not open or needed maintenance. The rural works department is conducting a survey to assess all small bridges in Bihar and determine which ones need repairs. The report is expected by August 15.
