One such delicate plant is Mimosa pudica, which you can easily find anywhere in rural areas. It is also known as Lajwanti. The small looking Mimosa pudica plant is a boon for health. Its root, stem and leaves are all medicines. Many types of treatments are done with this plant in Ayurveda. Mimosa pudica has anti-bacterial properties. Due to which it helps in destroying harmful insects and bacteria in the stomach.

Senior Ayurvedic doctor of Haldwani, Dr. Vinay Khullar told Local 18 that in Ayurveda, Mimosa is also called Lajwanti. Its taste is astringent and this plant also protects us from many diseases. In Ayurveda, the Lajwanti plant is used in the treatment of many diseases. It also proves to be very effective in diseases like piles. Along with this, Mimosa leaves also have anti-inflammatory properties which are effective in reducing swelling and pain. Mimosa i.e. Lajwanti plant has antiviral properties which reduce stomach infection as well as provide relief from many stomach diseases. Lajwanti plant can also provide relief in the problem of diarrhea.

It is also beneficial in piles
Dr. Khullar said that Mimosa is very beneficial in piles. It is rich in fiber which makes bowel movement easy and works effectively in the problem of piles. In the problem of piles, grind it and add sugar candy to it and drink it on an empty stomach in the morning. In piles, it will first speed up the bowel movement and then help in bowel movement.

Use it like this in stomach related diseases
Dr. Khullar said that stomach related problems can also be solved with Lajwanti. It has anti-bacterial properties. Due to which it kills harmful insects and bacteria in the stomach. In villages, people grind Lajwanti leaves and eat it with honey, which cures many types of stomach related problems.

Effective in relieving inflammation and pain
Dr Vinay said that Mimosa leaves have anti-inflammatory properties which are effective in reducing swelling and pain. Applying it on bruises, sprains, and arthritis provides relief. For this, wash and clean Mimosa leaves thoroughly and make a paste and apply it on the affected area.
