WhatsApp continuously offers more and more features to improve the app. The messaging app has recently added another special feature Voice Message view once on its platform. Let us tell you that the View once feature was present earlier as well, but it was for photos and videos. Now it has been introduced for voice messages as well.
View Once voice messages will have a green logo on them to indicate that they will disappear after being listened to once. Note that once a View Once voice message is opened, it will be automatically deleted and cannot be listened to again.
View Once message cannot be forwarded to any other person. The biggest thing is that even the sender cannot forward it to others. If this has to be done then the sender will have to record that message again and share it.
WhatsApp has set a view once limit on voice messages. According to the official blog post, voice messages sent as view once will be available only for 14 days after being sent, and will be deleted after that.
Unlike regular voice notes, senders cannot listen to their voice message after sending it. However, there is an option to preview it before sending it.
View Once voice messages cannot be stored
On Android devices, users can use the native screen recorder to record voice messages sent to them. Self-deleting messages cannot be saved or stored by users for future reference. These messages do not provide this option by default.
