Will not give any statement regarding BCCI, Pakistan Cricket Board boss warned officials not to speak on India playing

Karachi. The ICC Champions Trophy is to be held in Pakistan next year. No decision has been taken so far about India going to Pakistan to play in this tournament. However, the BCCI had earlier said that Team India will not play any match in Pakistan. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) President Mohsin Naqvi has advised his office and fellow colleagues not to make any statement related to India’s decision to send its team for the ICC Champions Trophy to be held next year.

According to information gathered by PTI, the PCB chief has adopted a policy for himself and other officials on the issue. Not to comment on it and let the International Cricket Council (ICC) handle it. A PCB source said, “That is why there has been no comment or statement from Naqvi or any other board official in recent times about what will happen if India does not send its team to Pakistan.”

He said that Naqvi has instructed all the concerned officials to continue preparations for the Champions Trophy, assuming that India will send its team. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah had earlier given a statement on not sending the Indian team to Pakistan for the Asia Cup to be played there. Despite all efforts, PCB could not convince Team India to come and play here. All the matches of India in the tournament were held in Sri Lanka instead of Pakistan.
