12 people, including 11 Indians, died in a restaurant in Gudauri, Georgia. The 12th person is from Georgia. According to the police, all of them were sleeping in a room on the second floor of the restaurant. Then he suffocated due to carbon monoxide leak.

Police said that in the initial investigation no marks of violence or injury were found on his body. The Indian Embassy located in Georgia’s capital Georgia has expressed grief over this incident. The embassy said, ‘We are working closely with local authorities so that the bodies can be sent to India soon.’

Georgia’s Interior Ministry said the incident was being investigated. According to CNN, a generator was found near the workers’ beds and was probably turned on after the power cut. This released gas. The identities of those who died have not been released yet.
