Lives of five lions were saved in the first incident Bhavnagar Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Mashuk Ahmed said that all these lions were camping near the railway tracks for the last two days. On Friday, loco pilot Dhavalbhai P, who was driving a goods train from Hapa towards Pipavav port, saw five lions crossing the railway tracks near Rajula town. He immediately applied emergency brakes and informed the forest guards. After the forest guard reached the spot and found all conditions normal, the train was allowed to proceed.
To prevent accidents, a team of forest guards has also been formed by the forest department.
