Allu Arjun Sandhya Theatre incident Case: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday (December 21) alleged that despite not getting police permission, Allu Arjun had gone to Sandhya theater during the screening of ‘Pushpa-2’ on December 4. The Chief Minister alleged that even after the death of a woman in the stampede, the actor did not leave the cinema hall, following which the police forcibly took him out. During this, AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi accused Allu Arjun of behaving ‘sensitive’. Owaisi claimed that after the stampede and the woman’s death, Allu Arjun had said that the film would be a ‘hit’.
All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) After MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi raised the issue in the Assembly, Reddy, citing the viral video, accused Allu Arjun of holding a road show and waving at the crowd despite the huge crowd. Reddy said the theater management had written a letter to the police on December 2, demanding security during the visit of Allu Arjun and others on December 4.
However, the police had rejected the application citing difficulties in crowd management. He said that before entering and exiting the theatre, the actor looked out the sunroof of his car and waved at the crowd. Due to this, thousands of fans started jostling to get a glimpse of him.
lashed out at film personalities
He criticized the film personalities for saying that they traveled to Allu Arjun’s house to meet him after his arrest. But despite being injured in the incident, he did not even show sympathy to meet the boy who was undergoing treatment in the hospital.
“I appeal to film personalities that they should not behave inhumanely,” he said, according to PTI. Reddy also said that no privilege will be given in case of untoward incidents like death in stampede. He said that the government will not spare those who harass the common people.
Big allegation of AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi
AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi attacked Telugu superstar Allu Arjun for his ‘insensitive’ behavior and ‘lack of responsibility’ after the stampede. Speaking in the Telangana Assembly, Owaisi alleged that despite the death of a woman in the stampede, Allu Arjun watched the film and even waved to his fans while leaving. According to India Today, without naming the actor, Owaisi said, “As per my knowledge, when Allu Arjun was told about the stampede and the death of a person, he said ‘Now the film will be a hit’.”
The stampede took place on December 4 when a large number of fans flocked to the Sandhya theater to catch a glimpse of Arjun and his Pushpa co-star Rashmika Mandhana. A 39-year-old woman tragically died and her son was seriously injured in the incident. The son is still undergoing treatment. Police said the theater management had not made any arrangements to handle the crowd.
