The weather patterns seem to be changing in many districts including Bihar’s capital Patna. There are only a few days left for December to end. But there is still no severe cold in the state. The minimum temperature of the state has been recorded higher than before. Scientists of Patna-based Meteorological Department have predicted light rain in many districts of the state from 27 to 29 December. Along with this, an alert has also been issued for dense fog in many districts of the state. It is expected that there may be severe cold in the state in the new year.
Kumar Gaurav, scientist of the Meteorological Department of Patna, says that due to the absence of strong western disturbance, no special effect of cold is being seen in Bihar. Recently, there has been snowfall in the mountains. Along with this, a fresh western disturbance is going to become active from the evening of 26th December. In such a situation, there may be severe cold in Bihar at the beginning of the new year. During this period, cold wave outbreak will be seen in many districts of the state.
Fear of rain in many districts of Bihar
There may be heavy rain in many districts of Bihar. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain at one or two places in Buxar, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Bhabua, Aurangabad, Arwal on December 27. Whereas on December 28, rain is expected at some places in these districts. On December 28, there are chances of rain at some places in Patna, Gaya, Jehanabad, Sheikhpura, Nalanda, Nawada, Begusarai and Lakhisarai. On December 29, there may be rain at one or two places in all these districts including Patna. After this, there will be a rapid drop in temperature in the state. Along with this, there is a possibility of severe cold.
Alert of dense fog and cold wave in these districts of Bihar
According to the Meteorological Department, there may be fog in the coming three days. Bihar will be partly cloudy. Along with this, the minimum temperature is expected to be between 10-14°C. An alert of dense fog and cold wave has been issued in Patna, Vaishali, Katihar, Purnia, Nalanda, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Madhepura, Bhagalpur, Khagaria, Begusarai, Samastipur and Jamui districts.
