A major accident was averted in Mango, Jamshedpur on Thursday when the brakes of a bus full of passengers failed near Mango bridge. This created panic among the passengers traveling in the bus. The driver lost control of the bus and hit four vehicles.

However, due to the slow speed of the bus, major damage was averted. After some time the bus stopped in the middle of the road. Here, after the incident, the vehicle owners started creating ruckus demanding compensation, due to which there was a jam on the road. Mango traffic police present nearby tried to control the situation. The matter calmed down after the demand for compensation was agreed upon.

According to eyewitnesses, the bus runs from Nirsa in Dhanbad to Jamshedpur via Chirkunda, Raghunathpur and Purulia. There were many passengers in the bus at the time of the incident. The brakes of the bus suddenly failed near Mango bridge.
After the incident, Mango Traffic Police has started investigating the matter. Police said that the matter calmed down after the bus driver and vehicle owners agreed on the demand for compensation.
