Three days before the incident, Dharamlal had gone to the shop and asked the woman for her mobile number, but the woman did not give the number. After this the accused saw the number written outside the shop and started calling. He stayed in the village for two days. Then came back.
Came back with a friend after three days The woman told the police that on the afternoon of the third day, December 10, Dharamlal alias Nihal Suryavanshi and Devraj Verma (40 years), who lives near Muktidham in Sarkanda, had come to the shop adjacent to her house. Then he bought cigarettes and started smoking outside.
During this time the woman closed the shop and went to her home to get water. Then, finding the woman alone, both of them entered her house. Both of them threatened the woman and raped her. Then both of them threatened and said that if you tell anyone, they will kill you.
Scared woman gave information ASI Surendra Tiwari said that the woman remained silent for 10 days because of the threats from both the accused. Later, the woman somehow gathered courage and informed her family about the incident, after which she reached Koni police station on December 17 and complained.
Accused arrested after complaint
After recording the statement of the woman, the police registered a case and started searching for both the accused. During this time, they were searched in Ghutku, Sindri, Niratu, Turkadih, Cachar, Lofandi, Bombay Awas and surrounding areas. After this, the police raided Sarkanda and Jarhabhatha and arrested the accused. Both the accused have been produced in the court and sent to jail.
