A cable operator who climbed an electric pole died under suspicious circumstances in Chandigarh on Wednesday afternoon. The incident took place in ward number 29 of Sector 56. The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Rajkumar, resident of Sector 56. People have accused the administration of negligence. People said that there are many wires lying on the ground, regarding which they have complained to the administration several times. But no one helped.
Sector 56 outpost in-charge said that in the initial investigation the case seems to be a case of death due to falling from a pillar. The deceased suffered head injuries after falling from the pillar. He also has scratches on his hand. After receiving information about the incident, the forensic team also reached the spot.
