First the students protested inside the university campus. After this he came to the main gate with the effigy. Then they went back towards the hostel and stopped at the intersection and set the effigy on fire. However, this demonstration took place inside the university itself. No students came outside.

The protesting students said that Amit Shah should withdraw his statements. He has insulted Ambedkar. If no action is taken on this then this protest will continue further, no matter what has to be done for this.
