There are still about two months left for Delhi Assembly elections. Aam Aadmi Party has released the list of 31 candidates twice. The big thing is that the names of 24 sitting MLAs are not in the list of candidates.
.
According to Dainik Bhaskar’s source in the Aam Aadmi Party, these MLAs are angry over the ticket being cut and are mobilizing against the party’s decision. On Wednesday, 20 MLAs were scheduled to hold a meeting at the house of Assembly Speaker Ramniwas Goyal. After the news related to the meeting came to light, the high command called Ramnivas Goyal.
The source said that the meeting was scheduled to be held by Tuesday, but now no one is talking about it. After this we talked to Ramniwas Goyal. He said that no such meeting is to be held. This news is wrong.
Names of some MLAs are certain to be cut from the third list also. Sources say that tickets of some MLAs are certain to be cut in the third list also. New faces will be given a chance in their place. In such a situation, some MLAs are openly protesting and some have rebelled within the party.
Abdul Rehman, who was MLA from Seelampur, resigned from the party on Tuesday. From Seelampur, the party has given ticket to Chaudhary Zubair Ahmed, who came from Congress. Zubair Ahmed is the son of Matin Ahmed, a 5-time MLA from Congress. He joined the party on 29 October.

Source claims – MLAs will meet and make further strategy Sources say that the third list of Aam Aadmi Party can come in 24 hours. It has been learned that a decision has been taken to cancel the tickets of two more MLAs. The tickets of Dinesh Mohania from Sangam Vihar and Model Town MLA Akhileshpati Tripathi are certain to be canceled. In such a situation, 20 MLAs are preparing to mobilize against the party.
The source further said, ‘We will all decide together what to do next. Leave the party together or remain in the party and open a front against Arvind Kejriwal. If you want to open a front like a worker by staying in the party, then a concrete strategy will have to be made.
2 issues of angry MLAs
1. Whether to stay in the party or leave the party together The plan of the MLAs is that if they have to leave the party, then this occasion should be made into a ruckus. Our sources in the party say that if all the MLAs leave the party together, there has been a suggestion to hold a press conference. In this, the dictatorship going on within the party and the lies being continuously told to the public will be exposed.
2. What will be the strategy if you stay in the party? If one does not want to leave the party, then there will be a discussion on how to open a front against the leadership as a worker. A source says, ‘Each MLA has thousands of supporters. If they unite on that seat, they can create problems for the existing candidate. We have left this option for now. Arvind Kejriwal will have to tell us what is his strategy behind the ticket cut campaign.
Source explains, ‘We know that position does not always exist in politics. We will work as workers. Have done the same before.

If there is a concrete strategy behind cutting our tickets and it benefits the party, then we have no objection. Just explain that strategy to us.
Ticket to Padmashree Awardee on Speaker’s seat Delhi Assembly Speaker and Shahdara MLA Ram Niwas Goyal had announced his retirement from politics on December 5. After some time, Arvind Kejriwal included Jitendra Singh Shanti in the party. Shanti was elected MLA from Shahdara on BJP ticket in 2013. Because of the work done during Corona, he has received the Padmashree Award.
Jitendra Singh Shanti got ticket from Shahdara as soon as he joined AAP. According to the source, Ram Niwas Goyal had come to know that this time he would not get the ticket, so he announced his retirement. We called Ramniwas Goyal on Tuesday to know about this, but the call was not received.

MLA Abdul Rehman left the party 20 days after the ticket was cut. Aam Aadmi Party had released the first list of candidates on 21 November. Seelampur MLA Abdul Rehman’s name was not there in it. On this, Abdul Rehman had openly come against Arvind Kejriwal.
We met him around 6 pm on Tuesday evening and asked him about the future strategy. He said, ‘I was not given the ticket and was not even told why the ticket was not given to me. Saturn is on Kejriwal. They themselves are bent upon destroying the party.
On the question of leaving the party, he said that he has not thought of it yet. Don’t know what will happen tomorrow. One thing is certain that if I remain in the party, I will definitely open a front as a worker. I will ask Kejriwal what happened to the promises he made before winning the elections. What happened to the Swaraj that you had promised to bring?
However, at 7 pm, Abdul Rehman posted his resignation on social media and said that he had left the party. He has accused Arvind Kejriwal and his party of indifference towards Muslims. When we questioned him on resigning so soon, the answer he got was, ‘I was just heartbroken.’ Felt that I don’t want to live with them.

Abdul Rehman has posted his resignation on social media platform X (earlier Twitter).
We asked that when you were in the party, you did not question the promises of the party. He replied, ‘Discussions took place in internal meetings. If you are in the party then who openly speaks against him? Many people raised questions in the meetings, but there was no one there to listen.
Abdul Rehman openly said that Kejriwal is afraid of defeat. They know that the image that made them win has been ruined. People rejected the party in the Lok Sabha elections. It is clear from this that this time the opposition will emerge strongly in the assembly elections.
He further says, ‘Kejriwal can get an edge only on the fact that the opposition does not have a CM face. Who knows, the opposition might put up a face till the elections. If this happens, this time Arvind Kejriwal will get a big blow.

Arvind Kejriwal accused of being a dictator Abdul Rehman says, ‘Kejriwal had said that he is conducting survey on every seat. Tickets will be given only according to the results of the survey. If there was a survey, a report would also come. We don’t know if any report has come. The survey was never done before any decision. These are all just talks.
When Atishi became the Chief Minister, was opinion taken from the MLAs? Abdul Rehman says, ‘No opinion is taken at all. In the case of Atishi, all the MLAs were already told that whatever name Kejriwal ji takes, you should agree on it.
Abdul Rehman further said, ‘We were told that Atishi is the next CM. We said, we agree. This happens during every decision. Either the government has to be run from inside the jail or Kejriwal has to resign. Every time the dust of internal survey is released. This is a big lie. There is no survey. The decision is taken here.

Till now, tickets of 24 out of 27 MLAs have been canceled. The tenure of Delhi Assembly ends on February 23, 2025. The last elections were held in February 2020. AAP had won 62 out of 70 seats. BJP had got 8 seats and Congress could not win even a single seat.
Of the 31 AAP candidates declared so far, tickets of 24 MLAs have been cut. In the 2020 elections, Aam Aadmi Party had initially given tickets to only 4 new people out of 31 candidates. Of these, tickets were given to AAP on 27 seats, while tickets were given to people from BJP on 4 seats.
This time AAP has canceled the tickets of 24 out of 27 MLAs i.e. 89%. The seats of 3 MLAs have also changed. At the same time, out of the four seats on which the party had lost, only the candidates who had lost last time have been given tickets again.

Tickets of MLAs who won elections twice canceled Gulab Singh Yadav was winning from Matiala seat twice. This time, Sumesh Singh Shaukeen of Congress was given the ticket in his place. Sumesh Singh was at third place in the 2020 elections. Gulab Singh Yadav was accused of selling tickets during MCD elections. Then the news of beating at the hands of workers also came to light.
Rituraj Jha is a two-time MLA from Kirari seat. His ticket was cut and given to Anil Jha from BJP. Rituraj had defeated Anil Jha in the last elections. Rituraj has said that he will definitely contest the elections.
Rituraj is the same leader who had accused BJP of offering Rs 25 crore in April. A proposal was also made to bring along 10 more MLAs. We tried talking to him, but could not contact him.
Ticket to Awadh Ojha from Manish Sisodia’s seat Former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia will contest from Jangpura this time. Earlier, he was contesting elections from Patparganj since 2013. In 2020, Sisodia could win this seat by only 3,207 votes. This time AAP has fielded Awadh Ojha from Patparganj. Ojha had joined the party only on 2 December.
Resignation of 67 officials of Timarpur seat AAP has canceled the ticket of sitting MLA Dilip Pandey from Timarpur. In his place, Surendra Pal Singh Bittu, who left BJP and joined AAP on December 6, has been given the ticket. In protest against this, 67 divisional and booth level officials and workers resigned in Timarpur.
