On the night of December 7, Mayuriben was standing near her house with her husband Vimalbhai Patel in Shekhni Gali near Dargah Road in the city. Meanwhile, Shahnawaz Bhanderi, living in Azad Mohalla, came out on his bike and asked Vimal Patel to remove his car. There was a dispute between the two regarding this.
On this Shahnawaz called his other friends through mobile phone. A crowd of 100-150 people reached the spot with sticks and other weapons. He abused Vimal Patel and his wife and threatened to beat them. The crowd raised slogans there.

Police reached the spot and removed the crowd and took control of the situation.
On the complaint of Mayuriben and Vimalbhai Patel, the police arrested the accused Shahnawaz Iqbal Shaikh and Rashidad Samad. Teams have been formed to nab the other accused.
