The High Court heard the matter of confiscation of Himachal Bhawan in Delhi on Wednesday. In this the government filed an application in the court. The government sought additional time in the investigation to find out the officials who allowed the sale of the Celi company despite High Court orders.

This case was heard in the court of Judge Ajay Mohan Goyal. Now this matter will be heard on January 3.
Let us tell you that to ensure compliance with its orders, the High Court had issued orders to attach Himachal Bhawan Delhi. The double bench had stayed the orders of the single bench. After this, the government has deposited an amount of about Rs 97 crore in the court. But as per the court order, the government has not been able to trace the guilty officials till now.

Energy Secretary was ordered to investigate
In fact, along with attaching Himachal Bhavan, the court had ordered the Energy Secretary to conduct a factual investigation as to which officer’s mistake resulted in Rs 64 crore not being deposited in the court along with 7 percent interest.
The court had said that it is necessary to trace the culprits because the interest will be ordered to be recovered from the guilty officers, officers/employees individually.
The court had ordered investigation within 15 days.
In the orders issued on November 18, the court had ordered to complete the investigation within 15 days and present the investigation report before the court on the next date.
