The Education Department has taken strict cognizance of the absenteeism of students in government schools of Himachal. The department has asked all the students to come to school by 31st December under any circumstances. Winter closing schools of the state close every year on 31st December.

But in some schools, due to two reasons, children are not reaching school daily. The first reason is the annual paper and the second reason is the gap between the papers.
Let us tell you that these days papers from class 1st to class 8th are being conducted in government schools. In many schools, a gap of one or two days is given in the paper. In this gap, children are sitting at home and preparing for the next paper. Taking cognizance of this, the Education Department clarified that even on days when there is no paper, children will come to school and teachers will make those children prepare for the paper.

Even where papers are done, children will attend till 31st
Even in those schools where all the papers have been completed, it will be mandatory to come to school by 31st December, because in the winter closing schools of Himachal, the academic session ends on 31st December. There is a holiday in schools from 1 January to 11 February. Therefore, even where the papers have been conducted, children will come to school daily and during this time the syllabus of the respective class will be revised and cultural and sports activities will be organized in the school.
Teaching and non-teaching staff will also come to school
Not only this, the department has also issued orders to all teachers, multi-task workers and mid-day meal workers to remain present in the school till the declaration of results. Regarding this, the Director of Elementary Education has issued orders to all the Deputy Directors.
Let us tell you that most of the schools in Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur and Kinnaur districts of the state are winter closing schools.
