Other gods and goddesses go to heaven a month before. Whereas Dev Shri Bada goes to heaven on the second day of Chhamahu Diyali and returns to earth on New Year. The special thing is that while other Gods and Goddesses return from heaven only after a month, Dev Shri Bada Chhamahu appears only in the New Year.
When the gods and goddesses go to heaven, all the doors of the temple are closed and the chariots of the gods are also covered and no worship of any kind takes place during this period. But the doors of Dev Shri Bada Chhamahu are not closed nor the worship is stopped. The chariot of the deity remains seated in the kothi and puja and aarti are performed every day as per the rules.
The chariot of the deity will be decorated on the day of New Year Dev Shribada Chhamahu is the creator and creator of the universe, hence it is believed that the universe never sleeps, hence the chariot of Dev Shribada Chhamahu is not closed like other god chariots. The full day of creation of the universe is Nav Samvat and that is why Dev Shri Bada appears only on Nav Samvat. On the day of Nav Samvat, the chariot of the deity will be decorated and a grand event will be organized.
On this day, the Jaleb of the deity first goes to Chawali Mata with the Laav Lashkar and after meeting with 44 thousand Yoginis there, the Jaleb returns to Kotla village and here a Nav Samvat fair is organized with a grand event and welcome of the deity. After this, on the second day the deities go to village Phagwana and here too the festival of manifestation of the universe and the creator god of the universe Shri Bada Chhamahun is celebrated.
New Year 2082 will start from 30th March After this the deity will visit his Harayan area. It should be noted that Dev Shri Bada Chammahun has boarded the new chariot and the circumambulation of the deity is still pending. It is being told that the deity will also complete this parikrama in the new year. According to the Hindu calendar, the Hindu New Year is starting from March 30, 2025, on the Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month.
This will be Vikram Samvat 2082. It is believed in Hindu religion that Lord Brahma started the creation of the universe from this date itself. Also, on this day, the coronation of Maryada Purushottam Lord Ram also took place.
