The World Crafts Council is going to organize the three-day 39th Regional Conference of the Asia-Pacific Region (WCC APR) in Jaipur. Jaipur, a recognized World Craft City, is the perfect place to discuss the future of crafts, explore sustainability and cross-cultural learning.

This historic event is held once every four years, and brings together the World Crafts Council Honorary Chairmen and delegates from the six Asia-Pacific regions, including Central, East, South, South-East, South Pacific and West Asia. Are. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari participated in the inaugural session on the first day of the regional conference. Delegates from more than 30 countries also participated in the conference, including 40-45 prominent personalities, renowned experts and more than 100 craftsmanship experts from India and across the world.

The event showcased the rich cultural diversity of traditional and contemporary crafts through various activities. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in enlightening discussions, promote cultural exchange, and support global visibility of Indian handloom and craft traditions.

The event is sponsored by Rajasthan Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles, Blue House, Crafts Council India, FICCI FLO and other reputed organizations.

Addressing the conference, he said – The work of artisans in the state is getting great recognition in the country and abroad. Describing the work being done by the Central and State Governments in the handicraft sector, he assured to take concrete steps for their development.
