Ola Electric Chief Marketing Officer Anshul Khandelwal and Chief Technology Officer Suvonil Chatterjee have resigned from their posts. Moneycontrol has come to know about this from sources. Some time ago there was a large-scale reorganization in the company. Chatterjee joined Ola Electric six years ago as design head. He played a key role in developing key products including Ola Krutrim and Ola Maps. In 2021, Chatterjee was promoted as Chief Technology and Product Officer.
Khandelwal had joined the company in the year 2019. Prior to this he was the Marketing and Revenue Head at Foodpanda. Foodpanda was purchased by Ola in 2020. He later took up the role of Marketing Head at Ola Foods and then went on to become the Chief Marketing Officer of Ola Electric.
Who else has left Ola Electric?
Ola Electric had seen the exit of its co-founder and former Chief Technology Officer Ankit Bhati in 2019. Earlier this year, company secretary and compliance officer Pramendra Tomar left Ola Electric. In mid-December, Ola Group Chief People Officer N Balachander also quit the company.
At least 500 employees were affected due to the reorganization at Ola Electric in November 2024. Earlier, the firm had done restructuring twice in September 2022. At that time, it announced several new appointments to centralize and unify operations across various verticals.
Osamu Suzuki, who held the reins of Suzuki Motor for 50 years and former chairman of the company, passes away.
Losses decline in Q2
Ola Electric had said on November 8 that its consolidated net loss narrowed to Rs 495 crore in the July-September 2024 quarter. A year ago it was Rs 524 crore. Consolidated revenue during the quarter stood at Rs 1,214 crore, up nearly 39% from Rs 873 crore a year ago.
