Rain alert has been issued amid severe cold in North India. Many states including Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab may receive rain in the next few days. This will increase the cold further. The Meteorological Department says that a pressure area is forming in the west central part over the Bay of Bengal. Due to which there can be a big change in the weather. Due to this, it may rain in many states including Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu. The Meteorological Department said that due to rain the cold will increase further in the plains.

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be severe cold in Jammu-Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh for the next three days. Orange alert has been issued for cold wave in Himachal Pradesh. The temperature in Srinagar has been recorded at -8.5 degrees for the third time in 133 years. Here North India is in the grip of cold wave and dense fog. Rain continues to wreak havoc in South India.

Rain after Christmas in Delhi

The weather will be clear in Delhi today, there may be fog in the morning and evening. The weather patterns will change in Delhi next week. Drizzle may start from Monday evening. There are chances of good rain after Christmas. After this the cold will increase. Dense fog may also occur once a week. There will be light fog in the morning on Monday 23rd December. There will be partly cloudy sky during the day. There may be drizzle in the evening and night. The maximum temperature of Delhi can go up to 22 degrees and the minimum temperature can go up to 7 degrees Celsius. The weather will be clear on 24th and 25th December. But moderate to dense fog may occur. In these two days, the maximum temperature can be 23 degrees and the minimum temperature can be 8 degrees Celsius.

Chances of rain and snowfall due to western disturbance

According to the Meteorological Department, due to a fresh western disturbance, there will be a change in the weather in North-West India and the Western Himalayan region. There may be rain in many areas between December 27 and December 28. Along with this there will also be snowfall.

Clouds will rain in these states

Due to these weather conditions, there may be rain at different places in the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh. Heavy rain may occur in some areas while moderate rain may occur in some areas. There are chances of light rain and snowfall at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh.

Cold wave will prevail here, fog will prevail

According to the Meteorological Department, dense fog with cold wave may occur in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Jharkhand, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya.
