Delhi Election 2025: 'It is not BJP's resolution letter, it is Kejriwal letter': AAP chief hits back at Nadda - delhi election 2025 arvind kejriwal alleges bjp copied promises from aap manifesto over vow to continue welfare schemes

Delhi Assembly Election 2025: Former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal said on Friday (January 17) that BJP has copied AAP in its manifesto for Delhi elections. He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced many raves while Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not accept the promises of freebies made by his party. Bharatiya Janata Party President JP Nadda on Friday released his party’s manifesto for the Delhi Assembly elections to be held on February 5.

After this, in a press conference, Kejriwal said that Prime Minister Modi should now accept that it was wrong to criticize him for giving things for free. Launching a scathing attack on the opposition party, Kejriwal said, “BJP has repeatedly said that Kejriwal gives things for free, but today the BJP national president has announced that he will also give things for free to the people of Delhi.”

He said, “I want to tell them that they should accept that what Prime Minister Modi said about us was wrong. They should also accept that giving things for free is not wrong. It is a gift from God.” And good for the country.” “Modi ji should come forward and assure that he agrees with these (BJP) promises. He should tell me that I was right in giving free facilities,” Kejriwal said.

He also said that the BJP’s manifesto only made promises that AAP was already making. Then why should people vote for him? He criticized the BJP for not including any promise on improving law and order in its manifesto and described their election document as a pack of lies. Kejriwal alleged that BJP has only promised old schemes which they have failed to fulfill.

Apart from this, Kejriwal wrote in a series of posts on social media platform “Knows how to work. And works in such a way that even our opponents praise him.”

He wrote in a post, “It is not a resolution letter of BJP but a ‘Kejriwal letter’ that we will continue all the schemes of Kejriwal in Delhi. BJP says ‘Vote for BJP to do all the work done by Kejriwal.’ All the work done by Kejriwal will be done better by Kejriwal, then why should anyone vote for BJP?”

Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday released its Sankalp Patra-1 for the Delhi Assembly elections to be held on February 5. Keeping women at its centre, many promises have been made including monthly assistance of Rs 2,500 and financial assistance of Rs 21,000 to pregnant women. The party has also promised to provide LPG cylinder for Rs 500 and pension of Rs 2,500 for senior citizens if it wins the assembly elections.
