Director and actor Anurag Kashyap has recently made many revelations. He has decided to leave Mumbai. The director said that he no longer has any excitement left in making films. He has also talked about reducing the risk factor in the film industry and making remakes.
The excitement of making a film is over – Anurag
Anurag Kashyap said in a conversation with Hollywood Reporter India that he is not getting to do anything new. Because of which he has lost the excitement of making films. He feels that the reason for this is the talent management agency of the actors because the talent management agency has started a new trend in which the actors have to focus more on becoming a star rather than on acting.
No one can experiment in his films – Anurag
Anurag said that in today’s time I cannot go out and make any new different kind of film, I cannot do any experiment in my films. Because now everything has come down to money. In which producers think only about profit and margin. Even before the shooting of the film starts, everything is decided as to how the film will be sold and how much profit it will make. So the fun of making a film ends.
I will shift to South next year- Anurag
The director further said- I will leave Mumbai next year and shift to South. I want to go where everyone is excited to work. Otherwise I will live like an old man and die. I have become very upset and disappointed with our Bollywood industry. I am also very troubled by the thinking of people in the industry.
Anurag was seen in the role of villain in the film Maharaja in the year 2024.
Only remakes are being made in Bollywood- Anurag
Anurag has also talked about the thinking of the industry. He said- Only remakes are being made in Bollywood. Film makers do not want to do anything new. I am very tired of this mentality. Agencies are mindwashing the actors and luring them with glamor to make them stars and earning money themselves. Instead of sending them to workshops, they want to send them to the gym.
