Electricity theft was caught in the house of Shia Youth Congress leader in Hussainabad area of the capital on Monday morning. This theft of electricity was being carried out by the Shia leader by cutting the service cable coming before the meter and connecting extra wire to it. Giving this information, Lucknow Central Zone Chief Engineer Ravi Aggarwal said that on Monday morning, under the leadership of Superintending Engineer Ramesh Chand Pandey, the team of Executive Engineer Chowk Raman and SDO Upadesh Agnihotri investigated in Suraiya Manzil area of Hussainabad during a raid at 5:30 am. When I started it, I found that the electricity was cut off by bypassing the electrical wires in the residence of Arafat Alam, State President of All India Shia Youth Congress in Suraiya Manzil Hussainabad. Theft was being done and the demand in the meter was also found to be less.
Executive Engineer Raman Vasu Mishra told that the electricity consumption in his luxurious house was 80-90 units for the whole year. The electricity consumption of this house was less than that of a slum consumer. Electricity theft of about three kilo watts has been detected in this house. During checking in the capital, electricity theft of 39.50 kilowatts was detected.
