Taking major action against drug smuggling in Faridabad district of Haryana, the police team of Crime Branch Sector-85 has arrested a drug smuggler on January 14. The accused has been identified as Rambir alias Moni, a resident of Mawai village in Faridabad.

360 grams of ganja recovered
According to police spokesperson Yashpal Singh, the team had received secret information that Rambir was planning to sell ganja. Acting quickly on the information, the team caught the accused from Mawai village area. During the search, 360 grams of ganja was recovered from him. During interrogation, the accused revealed that he had purchased this ganja from an unknown person from Madan Giri for Rs 3500.
His plan was to make profit by selling it at a higher price. Police have registered a case under drug trafficking in Khedipul police station and have started legal action against the accused.
