SAPC Chairman Pasha Patel It is said that the Earth had warmed 0.50 percent in 2000 years. Earth’s temperature has increased by 1.50% in the last 150 years. As the heat is increasing, people’s need for AC is increasing. Coal is being burnt in double the quantity. In 2024, the heat wave lasted for 41 days. Coal based thermal plants will have to be closed. 9 tonnes of carbon is released in making 1 tonne of steel. Thermal plant supplying 80% electricity in UK closed.
