A big racket of making fake Harpic and Lysol has been caught in Ludhiana. Police have arrested a tempo driver with 936 fake bottles. The accused used to supply these fake products to Agarwal General Store located on Railway Road, Moga.

On the complaint of Hardeep Kumar, senior officer of Speed Search and Security Network Company, the police have registered a case against 4 people. The accused include Hardeep Singh alias Rimmi Sharma and Mahindra Singh, residents of Vishnupuri, Ludhiana, who used to get fake products manufactured. Apart from this, tempo driver Kulwant Rai and owner of Aggarwal General Store are also among the accused.
According to Police Station City ASI Balwinder Singh, action was taken on the complaint of company officer Hardeep Kumar, resident of Chandigarh. Based on the information received on Sunday evening, the tempo was stopped and searched outside Civil Hospital Jagraon, in which fake goods were recovered. At present, only tempo driver Kulwant Rai is in police custody, while the search for other accused is going on.
This matter is serious from the consumer safety point of view, as these products like toilet cleaner and floor cleaning are widely used in daily life. Using counterfeit products can be hazardous to health.
