Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan said that he wishes long life of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewala, but if anything happens to him, the central government will be directly responsible for it and he will be accused of murdering another farmer. He said that the Central Government should come forward and start talks with the farmers. Every kind of issue can be resolved through dialogue.

Government is not paying attention to the legitimate demands of farmers
Sandhwan said that the sacrifices of Punjabis should not be forgotten. Right from liberating the country to the present time, Punjabis are at the forefront in protecting the country’s borders, but the central government is discriminating against the Punjabis and is not even paying any attention to the legitimate demands of the farmers.
Assembly Speaker Sandhwan also raised questions on the Central Government’s project of interlinking of rivers and said that by doing so nature is being tampered with. He also called upon the Center to reconsider the project of interlinking of rivers. Before this, he listened to the problems of the people and instructed the officials of the concerned department to solve the problem.
