Startup Mahakumbh 2025: The world’s largest startup event ‘Startup Mahakumbh’ has been officially announced. Building on the success of its first edition, this year ‘Startup Mahakumbh’ is scheduled to be held from April 3 to 5, 2025 at Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai. This was announced at a program organized in the presence of Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal. The ‘Startup Mahakumbh’ event aims to promote innovation, economic growth and self-reliance as part of India’s ‘Amrit Kaal 2047’ vision. Goyal said that ‘Startup Mahakumbh 2025’ will be the biggest startup event.
The Union Minister said that more than 2,500 startups from across the world will participate in the Startup Mahakumbh starting in April. He said that the startup movement will gain momentum in the coming days with more private financing. Goyal said that this year’s event is going to be even bigger. It will bring together innovators, policy makers, investors and industry leaders under one roof to redefine India’s startup ecosystem.
Addressing a function to mark the completion of 9 years of ‘Startup India’, the Union Minister said, “The second edition of Startup Mahakumbh will bring together entrepreneurs, policymakers, industry leaders and other key stakeholders of the startup ecosystem under one roof. This program will contribute to establishing India as the world’s largest and dynamic startup ecosystem.”
Big things about the event
The event is being led by FICCI, ASSOCHAM, IVCA and Bootstrap Advisory and Foundation. SIDBI, GEM, ECGC and DPIIT are supported by ‘Startup India’. This will become a platform for global showcase of Indian startup potential. Will focus on regional inclusion, powerful innovation and sustainable development. Around 3,000 startups, more than 500 investors and entrepreneurs from 50 countries are expected to participate in the event, an official said. Startup Mahakumbh will emerge as a launchpad at the district level to connect entrepreneurs from 788 districts of India with their resources.

Piyush Goyal said, “We are working towards transforming India into the world’s largest startup ecosystem. Our aim is to inspire innovation and entrepreneurship globally. The second edition of Startup Mahakumbh reflects this spirit. It “Bringing together entrepreneurs, industry leaders and policymakers to foster collaboration and transformative growth. Such efforts help strengthen India’s self-reliance and accelerate its journey to economic excellence.”
