India Women’s team has started practice at Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot.
The 3-match ODI series between India and Ireland will be played at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot from January 10. Players of both the teams reached Rajkot on Monday. From today, players of both the teams also started net practice on the field.
Both teams practiced for 6 hours Both the teams practiced from 11 am to 5 pm on Tuesday. In which players of both the teams practiced batting and bowling along with warm-up, fielding, catching and net practice. For the first time, a women’s international match will be played in Rajkot.

Practice will be held till 9th January Both teams will practice till January 9. The first ODI will be played on 10 January. India had recently defeated West Indies in the ODI and T-20 series. Now the team will play 3 ODI series against Ireland. The remaining 2 matches will be played on 12 and 15 January.

Harmanpreet Kaur rested Harmanpreet Kaur was rested against Ireland, Smriti Mandhana will captain in her place. Both the teams were welcomed with flower garlands at Rajkot airport. Books were also gifted to the players.
Mandhana may get Player of the Month award India’s opening batsman Smriti Mandhana played 9 matches in December and scored 463 runs. He also scored a century against Australia. He then scored 50+ scores in 5 consecutive matches against West Indies. He scored 270 runs in ODI and 193 runs in T-20. He was nominated by ICC for Player of the December Month. He is also on top in the race to win the award.
