Madhuri Dixit at IIFA 2025: Rajasthan veteran Congress leader Tikaram Julie has created resentment among the people on Thursday (March 13) by calling the famous Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit a “star”. According to the report, Julie made this comment during a discussion in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. Speaking in the House, the current opposition leader in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly called Madhuri Dixit as a ‘second grade star’. During this, the Congress leader questioned the benefits of the state from the recently organized IIFA program.
He also questioned the government’s expenses, saying, “More than 100 crore rupees were spent in the name of IIFA. If you saw the hoardings, they were only promoting IIFA, not of Rajasthan.”
The Congress MLA questioned that what did Rajasthan benefit from IIFA? He said that the stars who came to the program did not go to any tourist destination in the state. “He said,” And what big name came from the industry? Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, everyone else was the second -class stars. No first grade actor came. “
Julie said, “More than 100 crore rupees were given for the IIFA program. No big Bollywood stars were present. Some people cite Madhuri Dixit’s presence. Madhuri is a second grade actress nowadays … her summit is gone. She was a star of films like ‘Dil’ and ‘Son’.”
Tikaram Julie said that no big actor except Shah Rukh Khan came to IIFA. What message do you want to give by calling just 5-7 actors? The actors have their categories based on popularity. The actors who are popular nowadays did not come. There is no doubt that Madhuri Dixit is a good actress, but the time went on when she was popular.
Congress separated from statement, BJP erupted
The Congress party separated itself from the minister’s comments and said that this could be his “personal view”. Meanwhile, BJP leader and Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Dia Kumari said that Julie should “not have said so” in response to her controversial statement. He said, “Every actor should be respected … he (Tikaram Julie) said something absurd about a female actress. He should not have said so.”
