JNVST Admission 2026-27: Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has sought students’ applications for admission in the next academic session 2026-27. Under this, you can apply for admission in class six. The last date for JNVST application process is on 27 August. Students who still want to apply for these schools can apply online on the official website of the committee navodaya.gov.in or cbseitms.nic.in. Parents who want to teach their child to Navodaya Vidyalaya can fill this form online before the end of August 27.
Entrance exam will be held in two phases
The JNVST examination for admission in class six will be conducted in two phases. In this, the exam of the first phase will be held on 13 December 2025, while the second phase will be held on 11 April 2026. In every Navodaya Vidyalaya, students will be selected in 80 seats for class six through entrance examination. To get admission in class six in the new academic session of Navodal School, it will be mandatory to be successful in this examination.
Seat reservation rules
Explain that 75% seats in Navedya Vidyalaya are reserved for students in rural areas, while in the remaining 25% seats, students from both rural and urban areas are given admission on merit basis. In order to take advantage of rural quota, the student is required to pass class 3, 4 and 5 from government, government aided or recognized schools in a rural area of his district.
Students studying in class 3, 4 and 5 from school in urban areas will be considered urban students and they will not be eligible for rural quota. This rule ensures that maximum rural children get an opportunity to study in Navodaya Vidyalaya.
