Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released the City Institution slip on the official website for the PET 2025 examination. Candidates can get information about their queue examination center from the official site upsssc.gov.in.
This year PET exam will be held on 6 and 7 September 2025 in two shifts. The morning shift will be from 10 am to 12 noon and the second shift will be from 3 pm to 5 pm. This time there has been a change in the examination centers, where the state government has made CBSE and ICSE schools centers besides government, aided schools, so that the number of growing applicants can be taken into consideration.
The PET exam will be given by more than 25.32 lakh candidates this year, which will prove to be one of the biggest recruitment examinations of Uttar Pradesh. The application process started from 14 May and ended on 17 June 2025.
The biggest change has been made in the validity period of PET score. Earlier these scores were valid for only one year, but now they will be valid for three years from 2025. This means that the candidates who are successful in PET will be able to apply for the recruitment of UPSSSC Group C for the next three years, without giving PET again.
PET exam will have 100 multiple choice questions, whose total marks will be 100. Examiners will get 2 marks on the correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted on the wrong answer. The total time period of the exam will be of 2 hours. Candidates who have achieved unexpected success in this examination will be shortlisted for Group C main examination. This exam is considered very important for the candidates wishing to get a government job in UP.
