BAND 28 (700 MHz) Support Lava : Smartphone brand Lava has announced that it will offer 700MHz spectrum (B28) mobile connectivity on all its smartphones. This support will be available on Lava’s Agni series, Play series, Bold series, Yuva series, Blaze series and Shark series of smartphones. This will improve 4G connectivity on its smartphones, especially in areas where poor network connectivity hampers calls.
What is Band 28 (700 MHz) integration?
Lava has announced that all its smartphones now offer Band 28 (700 MHz) mobile connectivity. This technology, which has a lower frequency, can capture signals from further distances than the current band. This allows uninterrupted 4G service access in areas where signals are not currently available properly.
Lava says it has developed its B28 band-compatible smartphones to support better 4G connectivity. The company claims that its smartphones use high-quality hardware and optimized software, and extensive field testing has been conducted to ensure a smooth user experience.

A large part of the country’s population is still using 4G mobile networks. By early 2025, the country had more than 600 million 4G users.
This number is more than the number of 5G users in the country. Recently BSNL announced that it will discontinue its 3G mobile services in the country. As a result customers have to switch to 4G network.
