Uttar Pradesh OMG case: Around 200 villagers were vaccinated against rabies after a buffalo died due to a dog bite in Badayun, Uttar Pradesh. The news of the death of a buffalo due to a dog bite in the Uzani area of Badayon district has spread panic among the villagers. who had eaten curds made from her milk. Around 200 villagers rushed to the community health center and got vaccinated against rabies as a precaution.
According to villagers, a thirteenth day ritual was held on December 23 in Pipraul village under Uzani police station area, where a feast was held for the entire village. Raitu was also served in the feast, which was consumed in large numbers by the villagers.
Later it was revealed that the buffalo milk used to make Dahi Raita had been bitten by a dog a few days earlier. The buffalo died on December 26, causing panic in the village over the possibility of the infection spreading.
Amid the fear of rabies, the villagers were vaccinated against rabies
A large number of men, women and youths went to Ujjain Community Health Center for rabies vaccination on Saturday and Sunday amid rabies scare, villagers reported.
Jashoda Devi, a villager, told news agency PTI that on the thirteenth day of the birth, a feast was organized in the village, where everyone ate raitu. Later on learning of the buffalo’s death and its dog bite, the villagers panicked and rushed to get vaccinations as a precaution.
A villager said that the buffalo had bitten a dog. However, people unaware of this fact used this buffalo milk to make curd and then raitu. which was eaten by the people. After that, fear spread among the people when it was reported that the buffalo had been bitten by a dog.
A mad dog bit a buffalo in the village
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Rameshwar Mishra said information was received that a buffalo in the village was bitten by a mad dog and died due to symptoms of rabies. The villagers ate raitu of curd made from buffalo milk. As a precaution everyone was advised to get vaccinated against rabies.

He said that there is no risk of rabies after boiling milk. But vaccination was given to prevent any possible danger. According to the health department, there is currently no outbreak of disease in the village, and the situation is completely normal.
