    Adani Total Gas has reduced the price of CNG and PNG

    Adani Total Gas : Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL), a joint venture between the Adani Group and French energy company Total Energies, has cut the price of CNG and piped PNG for cooking in several markets. This will give relief to common people.

    This was reduced after the duty reform

    The company said that the price of CNG and Domestic Piped Natural Gas (PNG) has been reduced by a maximum of Rs 4. This reduction follows the historic duty revision by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB). Under this, the gas transportation charges have been streamlined, thereby reducing the cost of city gas distributors.

    Price reduction varies by region

    ATGL said the price reduction varies by sector, depending on the transport zone. CNG has now become cheaper by Rs 0.50 to Rs 1.90 per kg in areas of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. While the price of PNG has decreased by a maximum of Rs 1.10 per standard cubic meter.

    CNG price has been reduced by Rs 1.40 to Rs 2.55 per kg in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana-NCR, Uttar Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas of Uttar Pradesh. PNG has become cheaper from Rs 1.10 to Rs 4.00 per standard cubic meter.

    CNG price in Central and Eastern India has been reduced from Rs 1.81 to Rs 4.05 per kg. The price of PNG has been reduced by a maximum of Rs 4.00 per standard cubic meter.

    ATGL Executive Director and CEO Suresh P Mangalani said the move will make natural gas more affordable and accelerate the adoption of cleaner fuels in households and the transport sector. The revised charges have come into effect from January 1.
