Two named Shravan Jha and son Mukund Jha surrendered in Dalsinghsarai court in connection with the hanging of five members of a family in Samastipur. On June 5, the bodies of Manoj Jha, wife, two children and their mother were found hanging inside the house in Mau Dhaneshpur South village of Vidyapati Nagar police station. In this case, while registering an FIR of murder by the daughter of the deceased, 3 people were named as accused. Out of which, Ward 4 resident of Mau village, Shravan Jha and his son Mukund Jha have surrendered. Bachcha Singh, the third accused in this case, is still absconding. Dalsinghsarai DSP Dinesh Kumar Pandey told that action will be taken against him for attachment and advertisement.
According to the information received, the father and son accused in the case surrendered in the court of ACJM 3 in-charge judge and ACJM one Ravi Pandey on Monday. Vidyapatinagar police station in-charge Prasunjay Kumar had laid a trap to arrest both of them before surrendering when the father and son were informed to surrender in the court. But they did not get success. Before the police could reach the father and son, both of them surrendered in the court. After which the court sent both of them to judicial custody and sent them to jail.
